Whatcha Been Readin?

6 Oct

I love to read so I thought I would share what I think of a couple of the books I’ve read recently.
The Gift of the Dragon by Michael Murray is an action adventure book that is packed full of movement from the very first chapter. Alice sees her friend murdered, and she ends up injured herself. Alice is able to escape the murderer, and find a place to recover from her injuries. But she has suffered a head wound so her memories are a little fuzzy. Like she can’t remember what she does for a living. But she figures out quickly, that the person who murdered her friend was actually trying to get to her, and that he isn’t the only one.
The story moves from Oregon to Florida where she finds an ally. But it costs him dearly. And as the story progresses Alice finds out a few things about herself and her family.
This is a great action book. That has conspiracies and loads of secrets.
How to Build Self-Esteem and Be Confident: Overcome Fears, Break Habits, Be Successful and Happy by Maddy Malhotra
This is an excellent self-help book. Malhotra offers experiences from his own life that has assisted him with building his self-esteem. The book encourages you to become a better person by asking yourself questions about your life. The author also points out that personal growth doesn’t happen overnight and it isn’t necessarily easy. But the results are well worth the effort.

The Mother of All Meltdowns:

This is a collection of stories by Mommy Bloggers. If you are a mom you will love this book. If you know a mom you will love this book. And if you want to be a mom you should read this book. The book is full of stories about the times when being a parent can be overwhelming. The stories are all humorous, and show that in time those stressful days will become a great story.
